empowered women move mountainsI began my journey as a leader in the corporate and nonprofit sectors at the age of 24 and led an $8M store at the age of 27.
Every step of the way, and every rung of the ladder, gave me an opportunity to bring others along- mostly women in their 20's and 30's. I believe that those of us who supervise interns and employees exist to support them- not the other way around. I take the time to know my direct reports personally and professionally. We co-build development and action plans. Their record of demonstrated skills build confidence to help them advocate for themselves and understand what they need to get to the next level. My worth is defined by those women I helped to develop. They moved up that ladder three rungs or more. When you serve others and lead with humanity, your business thrives and your impact on the world grows larger. |
